Help me understand something, because to me this feels essential and I cannot tell if the rest of the world agrees. In Japan, most people do not just shower. At the end of the day, we fill a deep tub and soak in hot water up to the shoulders. Even in tiny apartments. Even when we are exhausted. Especially when we are exhausted. It is not really about getting clean. We wash first, outside the tub. The soak is about melting the whole day off your body. I have heard that in many countries a quick shower is the whole routine, and a nightly bath sounds like a luxury or a waste of water. So which are you? Quick shower, or a long hot soak at the end of the day? And be honest about why.
