I don’t even know how to describe this place.
So in Tokyo there’s this museum
where you take your shoes off,
roll up your pants,
and walk into water.
Inside the water,
thousands of glowing koi fish
swim around your legs,
made of pure light,
and when one touches you
it bursts into a flower.
The whole room is light.
Floor, walls, ceiling, everywhere,
millions of colors moving like they’re alive.
My kids just stood there with their mouths open.
My daughter whispered, “are we inside a dream?”
I didn’t have an answer.
I was standing there with my mouth open too.
Two hours flew by.
We took zero good photos
because no photo can hold it.
Some things you just have to stand inside of.
