American Grit
March 12, 2026. Missouri.
March 12, 2026. Missouri. A 15-year-old boy is told a girl wants to meet him. He gets in his car. His friends tell him not to go. They are afraid it’s a trap. He goes anyway. He is fifteen. At the meeting place, two vehicles block his car. He realizes what has happened. He tries to run on foot. The man behind him is eighteen years old. The man chases him down. The boy’s last words, heard by a witness: “I just don’t want to die.” The man shoots him in the chest. The man later brags about the murder. The man should not have been in this country. He had been brought across the border illegally in 2015 as a minor. The Obama administration released him. He has been in this country for eleven years. Until the day he chased a 15-year-old down on foot and shot him in the chest. He should be alive. He was fifteen. God bless every American who refuses to forget what he said.
