You ordered a hamburger. You might get dumplings. You asked for soup. Two salads arrive.
In 2017 they actually measured it. Around 60 percent of all orders came out wrong.
Sixty percent.
Now guess how many customers complained.
Zero. And almost 100 percent said they wanted to come back.
People abroad read this and assume it is a heartwarming exaggeration. It is not. It is a real restaurant. Real staff, real aprons, real shifts. Three dishes on the menu, and a coin-flip chance you get the one you asked for.
Most of the world treats a person with dementia as someone you go to visit.
In that room, she is the one bringing you dinner. Getting it wrong. And being thanked for it anyway.
