One hand draws, one hand writes, and the tea has gone cold.

Wait — this water is so clear it has its own name in Japanese.
Wait — this water is so clear it has its own name in Japanese. Niyodo Blue. The Niyodo River winds through the green mountains of Kochi, on Shikoku island — water so pure it shimmers somewhere between glass, glacier, and a polished gemstone. At a mossy pool called Nikobuchi, morning sunlight pours through the trees, and the whole basin lights up from inside, glowing turquoise. In summer, kids climb the rocks and leap in, shrieking with joy as they splash into the cool blue. Kayakers drift slowly across the surface, mouths open, unable to look away. Families trail their hands in the water just to watch it sparkle. No gate. No fuss. Just a river so beautiful it catches your breath for a second. You stand on the bank. The water shines back at you, bright and alive. And for one perfect moment, everything else goes quiet.
