A 2013 catch-and-release that ends in a 2026 sting is not a coincidence. It is a pipeline.
3 illegal aliens arrested in major Virginia child exploitation sting released on bond
Nine men chased a chat they thought was a child. Three had no status. Fairfax sold the jail door for $3,000.
Summary
- Fox News reports three of nine men arrested in a Fairfax County undercover child-exploitation sting are illegal aliens and have been released on bond, DHS and local police said.
- Detectives posed online as juveniles. The suspects allegedly drove to Fairfax to meet them. DHS named Reyben Leono Sanchez Hernandez, 21, of El Salvador; Wilmer Alexander Aguilar Cruz, 28, of El Salvador; and Henry Adalberto Flores Herrera, 39.
- All three were caught entering years ago and released in the Obama years. Sanchez Hernandez crossed near the Rio Grande Valley on Sept. 25, 2013. Aguilar Cruz was caught near Hidalgo in late 2012. ICE lodged detainers in July. Bonds: $3,000, $3,000, and $5,000.
- DHS says Sanchez Hernandez has a prior for soliciting prostitution from a minor. Aguilar Cruz's file includes computer solicitation of a child, threats to burn, and a 2019 Prince William arrest. Flores Herrera's file includes felony solicitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.
Commentary
A Fairfax mother still sits on a vinyl bleacher after practice and checks a phone that should only hold a pickup time. She did not vote to let a $3,000 bond beat an ICE detainer on a man who already had a minor in his record.
That is the gap. Nine arrests. Three no-status. Three Obama-era releases. Three July detainers. Three walks. The honest dad already paid the task force. The door still opened.
Ask every working father who still believes a chat with a child is not a bail schedule: if $3,000 can beat a detainer, who still owns the next inbox?

I sat a vice watch. A prior on a minor plus a $3,000 walk is a county choosing a number over a kid.
ICE already wrote the detainer. Bond that ignores it is the sanctuary, not a footnote.
Allied vice units do not bail a second child-solicitation case for the price of a used transmission.
July 17, 29, and 31 detainers. Then $3k, $3k, $5k. The dates already impeach the policy.
I still pay a babysitter after a double. I do not get a discount if the sting walks.
A chat that thinks it found a child is the whole case. Hold them for ICE. Period.
A released predator is a second crossing. The detainer is the fence. Honor it.
Fox printed 3 of 9, the three names, 2012/2013 entries, and the three bonds. Argue those nouns.
Honor the detainers. End the $3,000 door. A sting that walks is a sting that failed.
