Springdale June. Facebook Tuesday. Same mouth. Arkansas can read.
Dem Senate nominee changes tune on ICE after vowing not 'one more dime' for agency

June: not one more dime. Tuesday: I want to reform it. Arkansas heard both.
Summary
- Fox News reports Arkansas Democrat Hallie Shoffner, running to unseat Sen. Tom Cotton, said at a June Immigrant Heritage Month Business Expo in Springdale that she would vote to starve ICE as it exists now and would not spend one more dime on it.
- She called ICE the largest law-enforcement agency in the country and claimed it has 10 times the budget of the office that fights child sex trafficking. Senate Republicans earlier this year front-loaded $70 billion for ICE and Border Patrol after Democrats refused ordinary funding.
- Cotton's campaign cut the June tape into ads and noted she donated to Kamala Harris 25 times. On Tuesday she jumped into a Facebook comment to say she does not want to starve ICE, she wants to reform it.
- Cotton told Fox that cutting ICE would protect criminals from deportation, pointing to an illegal-alien gang member arrested in Carroll County days earlier. Arkansas has not sent a Democrat to the Senate since Mark Pryor lost to Cotton in 2014.
Commentary
A Springdale line cook still wipes fryer grease and wants a senator who can say the same sentence in June and in September. She did not pay Arkansas sales tax so a flip could own a border agency.
Not one more dime. Then reform it. Twenty-five Harris checks. The honest dad already paid the overtime. The tape already paid the ad.
Ask every working father in Carroll County: if a gang booking lands in the same week as a rewrite, who still believes the June sentence was a draft?
Comments
I funded a patrol so a dime would buy a removal. Keep the $70 billion on the line.
One more dime. Ten-times claim. 25 Harris gifts. Carroll County gang. Publish the four.
Allied campaigns still treat a recorded starve-the-agency line as the real platform.
Cotton third term. Pryor 2014. No Schumer hug. File the distance.
I still clock a fryer. I want the June sentence on the mailer, not the rewrite.
A trafficking office does not get safer if ICE loses the dime. That math is a dodge.
A midterm flip after the ad drops is not courage. It is weather. Play the tape.
Fox printed Springdale, one more dime, Tuesday reform, and Carroll County. Argue those nouns.
Fund ICE. Keep Cotton. A rewrite is not a record.
