That is the gap. A jail already had the Honduran. A 2019 removal order sat on the file. The city tore up the hold. ICE had to take him on asphalt while a crowd gathered, then drive home knowing the same crowd knows the route. Hundreds a day used to move through a sally port. Now the door is a street.
Look every working father in Los Angeles County in the eye and answer this: if a sanctuary will not hold a bat case for federal officers, who owns the next porch?

I guarded a gate. Nobody followed us home because the city already did the transfer. This is a leak with a badge.

A 2019 removal order is a judgment, not a mood. Declining the hold is a policy, not a paperwork glitch.
