A Queens dad still walks a kid past a church with the doors propped and knows a sanctuary is supposed to be a door you can open. He did not pay the levy so a synagogue on the same block would need a double lock and a $90,000 watch just to pray.
$1 billion a year. 63 percent of religious hate crimes. One NYPD file every 25 hours. The honest household already paid the tax. The cold rain on that bag-check line still hits the same families.
Look every working father who still wants a house of worship to be a house in the eye and answer this: if the church doors stay open and the synagogue pays a billion-dollar watch, who still owns the next High Holiday on that block?
