ICE deports alleged Liberian war crimes suspect tied to Charles Taylor

Entered August 2006. Authorized until November 6. Deported August 11 after a China academy and a child-soldier file.

Summary

  • Fox News reports ICE removed Amos Sheik Massaquoi, 55, to Liberia on August 11. Officials said he is believed to have served as chief bodyguard to Maj. Gen. Daniel Chea in Charles Taylor's National Patriotic Front of Liberia.
  • ICE said Massaquoi is believed to have ordered and participated in extrajudicial killings, torture, arbitrary arrests, forced labor, and the recruitment of child soldiers during Liberia's civil wars from 1989 to 2003. The United Nations put civilian deaths near 250,000.
  • He legally entered the U.S. in August 2006 and was authorized only until November 6 of that year. HSI arrested him in Maryland in August 2019 for being illegally present. An immigration judge granted bond less than two months later and released him.
  • ICE Baltimore took him back into custody on April 1, 2025, after officials said he failed to comply with release terms. A judge ordered him removed the following month. ICE said he also received specialized military training at an academy in China in 2004. Chicago Field Office Director Frank Padula said confirmed human-rights violators cannot hide here.

Commentary

A mill dad still wipes diesel off a punch card and knows a child-soldier file is supposed to end in a cell, not a Maryland bond slip. He did not pay the levy so a November 2006 overstay could sit through 2019 and 2025.

August 2006. November 6. August 2019. April 1, 2025. August 11. Nearly two decades between a visa clock and a plane. The vinyl chair in that Baltimore hearing room still waits.

Look every working father who still locks a side door after a night shift in the eye and answer this: if a China-trained bodyguard already had a 2006 exit date, who still owns the next atrocity file a bond desk left open?

Massaquoi. August 11. China 2004. Keep the three.

I stood a gate so a child-soldier file still meant a plane. A bond slip is not mercy.

Enter Aug 2006. Authorized Nov 6. HSI 2019. ICE April 1, 2025. Print the four.

Allied courts still treat a Taylor bodyguard as an exit, not a housing case.

Killings. Torture. Forced labor. Child soldiers. File the four charges ICE named.

I still walk a dark lot. I want the next war-crimes file on a plane, not a bond sheet.

A child-soldier stamp is not a labor shortage. It is a warning the street already paid.

u/gulf_watch · 55m

A China academy after a civil war is a second border around every school bus stop.

Fox printed Padula, the 2006 clock, and the August 11 removal. Argue those nouns.

Honor the hold. Finish the 2006 stack. A Taylor file is not supposed to wait 20 years.
