Five hundred. Four days. Sixty-seven sheriffs. One ICE detainer on a second-degree murder charge. The vinyl chair in that Lee County waiting room still remembers the survivor who barricaded a door. The honest household already bought the overtime for the 67.

I stood a gate so a 911 still meant a hold. A Taser grabbed from a trooper is not a weather report.
