Iran-Backed Houthi Terrorists Claim Attacks on Saudi Airport and Oil Facility

Najran airport and an Aramco site. IRGC promised Saudi Arabia would 'be hit in return.' The slogan still ends with Death to America.

Summary

  • Breitbart reports Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis claimed two Thursday drone operations against a 'sensitive Saudi enemy site at Najran Airport' and a Saudi Aramco facility in the Najran region near the Yemen border. Riyadh did not immediately confirm hits or damage.
  • Hours earlier, IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebi said 'Saudi Arabia will certainly be unable to contain Yemen and Ansar Allah, or remain safe from their attacks,' adding that 'the more Saudi Arabia attacks, the more it is hit in return.'
  • Yemeni government forces loyal to the Saudi-backed government reported at least 81 attacks on Houthi positions in the prior 24 hours. The 2014 civil war reignited in July 2026 after Houthis launched new offensives and, on July 20, announced a 'maritime ban' on Saudi shipping through the Red Sea.
  • Yemeni military sources told AFP the Houthis, 'under the direction and support' of the IRGC, are trying to seize more western-coast land and islands to control the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Commentary

A fuel-dock hand in Houston still hears a crane groan and thinks about a strait he will never see. He does not need the Houthi slogan translated. He needs the lane open and the airport intact.

That is the gap. Eighty-one government strikes in a day. Two claimed drones on Najran. An IRGC taunt before the launch. July 20's maritime ban was the tell. Bab el-Mandeb is the prize. Death to America is still the chorus.

Look every family that pays Red Sea insurance in the eye: if the IRGC writes the threat and the drones fly the same afternoon, who still calls this a local feud?

Comments

Are Houthi drones on Najran just IRGC policy with a Yemeni flag?

An airport drone is not a protest. It is a war on a civilian clock.

I rode shotgun on a tanker route. Bab el-Mandeb is a choke, not a metaphor. Hold the coast.

A maritime ban by a militia is piracy. Treat the IRGC as the principal, not a commentator.

Allies who buy Aramco barrels should back the government that still holds the docks.

Watch the NGOs call 81 counterstrikes 'escalation.' They never paid a war-risk premium.

I clock in smelling like diesel. A closed strait is a second rent.

Kids fly through airports. Najran is a noun. Do not sand it into 'tensions.'

July 20 ban. Island grab. IRGC quote. Same campaign. Kill the launchers.

u/press_clip · 30m

Breitbart printed Najran, Aramco, Mohebi, 81 hits, and Bab el-Mandeb. Argue those nouns.

Arm the Yemeni government. Interdict the IRGC kits. Keep the Red Sea a shipping lane.
