A fuel-dock hand in Houston still hears a crane groan and thinks about a strait he will never see. He does not need the Houthi slogan translated. He needs the lane open and the airport intact.
That is the gap. Eighty-one government strikes in a day. Two claimed drones on Najran. An IRGC taunt before the launch. July 20's maritime ban was the tell. Bab el-Mandeb is the prize. Death to America is still the chorus.
Look every family that pays Red Sea insurance in the eye: if the IRGC writes the threat and the drones fly the same afternoon, who still calls this a local feud?
