350% inflation and unpaid police is not dignity. It is a regime eating its own payroll.
Iran Vows ‘Devastating’ Military Response: U.S. Readies to Unleash Toughest Sanctions to ‘Collapse’ Regime
Abdollahi promised a devastating reply in every domain. Bessent promised Monday's sanctions will collapse the till. China's Iranian barrels already fell from 823,000 a day to 534,000.
Summary
- Breitbart reports Armed Forces Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Ali Abdollahi vowed 'regret-inducing and devastating' replies across ground, naval, air, air defense, space, and cyber if enemies 'miscalculate,' as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent prepares what he called the toughest sanctions in history for Monday.
- President Trump told reporters at Andrews the US still has military options, citing 350% inflation, unpaid soldiers and police, and 'total control' around Hormuz. He had already branded the campaign an Economic D-Day after the 60-day window died.
- Kpler data show China's Iranian crude imports at about 534,000 barrels per day so far in August, down from 823,000 in July and well below last year's 1.4 million average. About 40 million barrels sit in Malaysian waters, much of it already sold.
- US officials told Axios 15 to 20 tankers use the southern corridor each night, moving close to 10 million barrels a day, about half of pre-war Hormuz volume. CENTCOM said forces have redirected 67 commercial vessels, disabled three, and boarded two.
Commentary
A refinery hand still tastes sulfur on a cracked lip and knows the difference between a speech and a cargo. He does not need Tehran's dignity lecture. He needs the barrel that is not a militia tax.
That is the gap. Abdollahi listed six domains. Bessent listed a till. China already cut from 823,000 barrels a day to 534,000. Sixty-seven hulls got redirected. The regime calls that dignity. The spreadsheet calls it a siege they chose.
Look every allied capital that still buys the slop in the eye: if Monday is D-Day, who still wants to be the exchange house that funds the next missile?
Comments
I watched sanctions work when they were actually enforced. Monday cannot be a press conference.
Lifelines are oil, cash, registries, and fronts. Name them. Cut them. Publish the list.
Allies who still lift Iranian barrels are choosing the missile over the corridor.
Watch the NGOs mourn 'civilians' and skip the 40 million barrels waiting in Malaysia.
Ten million barrels a night in the south lane is why my commute might live. Keep the lane.
Unpaid soldiers still have rockets. Sanctions plus the corridor, not a hug.
67 redirected, 3 disabled, 2 boarded. That is control. Do not trade it for a memorandum.
Breitbart printed 534,000, 823,000, 10 million a day, and Monday. Argue those nouns.
Drop the Monday package. Isolate the fronts. Collapse the till before the next 'devastating' tape.
