A dock clerk in Houston still stamps a bill of lading with salt on the carbon paper. He knows a blockade by the empties, not by the communique. Sixty-five redirects is a number you can count on a whiteboard.
That is the gap. One hundred five million became eighty. Forty million left in the float. China paid a premium for the last light barrels and sent the teapots to Brazil. The Foreign Ministry called it weakness. The AIS went dark and still could not invent a hull.
Ask every family paying a Gulf risk premium: if no laden tanker has crossed since July, who still lets Beijing call this a bluff?
