‘Jaws of Death’: Iran Down to 2 Months of Fuel as U.S. Blockade Chokes Off Export Lifeline

Two months of gasoline. An oil country. The blockade is the point.

Summary

  • Breitbart reports Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Friday called the squeeze the Jaws of Death for the Iranian economy after three senior Iranian sources told Reuters Thursday that U.S. sanctions and the blockade are crippling imports, foreign currency, and the networks Tehran used to evade restrictions.
  • One official said Iran, despite huge oil reserves, has only about two months of gasoline left because battered refineries leave it dependent on imported fuel it can no longer obtain.
  • Bessent said no Iranian crude shipment has successfully made it through the Strait of Hormuz to China, Tehran's largest oil customer, since Washington reinstated the blockade. Crude is piling up on vessels trapped inside the strait.
  • Operation Economic Outcast launched late last month as what Bessent called economic asphyxiation. Adm. Brad Cooper said U.S. forces cleared Iranian mines and helped protect nearly 1,500 commercial vessels carrying about 750 million barrels through Hormuz, while Iran itself has exported no oil from its shores after mid-July.

Commentary

A Houston night pump clerk still counts a till and watches a price that should not fund the next IRGC rocket. He did not pay $4 diesel so a trapped tanker could wait out the clock.

Two. Months. Zero barrels out after mid-July. Fifteen hundred ships protected. The honest dad already paid the blockade. The regime is down to a gas can.

Look every working father who still fills a truck before dawn in the eye and answer this: if Iran is down to two months of gasoline, who still wants the next leak left open?

Two months of gas in an oil state. No crude to China. Mid-July cutoff. That is a vise, not a press release.

I stood a strait so a mine would not own the lane. Keep 1,500 ships moving. Keep theirs boxed.

Bessent Jaws. Reuters three sources. Outcast late last month. Cooper 750 million barrels. Publish the four.

Allied refiners still treat a sanction hole as a bill. A trapped tanker is a confession.

Hormuz. China customer. Front companies. Zero leakage. File the nouns.

I still smell diesel on my sleeves. I want the next shadow bank closed before payday.

A grocery run should not subsidize a rocket. Keep the squeeze. Do not donate a leak.

A two-month can is a second front. The first blocked barrel should have been enough.

u/press_clip · 30m

Breitbart printed two months, no China cargo, 1,500 ships, and mid-July. Argue those nouns.

Hold the blockade. Close the banks. A regime that cannot export is a regime that cannot pay proxies.
