Manager at Texas PAC explains in video how Dems are skirting laws to pay voters: 'a little gray'

Twenty-five dollars for an hour on Zoom. He called it a little gray. He also called it paying for votes.

Summary

  • Just the News reports an undercover video, first reported by Townhall, shows Sky McAdams, operating manager for Texas Majority PAC, explaining that voters are paid $25 to attend one-hour Zoom classes.
  • McAdams said the class tells people why voting matters and why Republicans are causing all these bad things. He called that a roundabout way of paying people for their votes, essentially.
  • He said paying someone directly to vote for a candidate is illegal, but paying someone to attend a one-hour class is a little gray. He described a paid relational program run by Relentless, which says it recruits low-propensity voters and compensates them as they reach friends and family.
  • Relentless says similar 2024 campaigns in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania netted 47,333 Democratic votes. Texas Majority PAC's July campaign-finance report said it paid Relentless $500,000 for a relational organizing program.

Commentary

A mill dad still stands in a school gym with a paper ballot and knows a vote is supposed to cost a citizen a Tuesday, not a twenty-five-dollar Zoom. He did not clock out early so a PAC could buy a relatives list and call it gray.

Twenty-five an hour. Five hundred thousand to Relentless. Forty-seven thousand three hundred thirty-three in five states. The honest household already bought the poll book. The vinyl chair in that gym still waits.

Look every working father who still takes an unpaid Tuesday in the eye and answer this: if a manager already said the quiet part on tape, who still owns the next gray hour a citizen was supposed to spend for free?

McAdams. $25 Zoom. Little gray. Keep the three.

I stood a watch so a ballot still meant a free Tuesday. A stipend is not civics.

Relentless. $500,000. 47,333 claimed votes. Print the three.

Allied rooms still treat a vote as a duty, not a side hustle.

AZ. GA. MI. NC. PA. File the five-state map.

I still lose a Tuesday after a double. I want the next hour unpaid and honest.

A gray class is not outreach. It is a warning the street already paid.

A $25 Zoom is a second border around every poll book.

Just the News printed the tape and the $500,000. Argue those nouns.

Ban the gray. Keep the Tuesday free. A ballot is not a gig.
