Philadelphia DA says he'll keep piece of Trump's White House ballroom 'after we all blow it up'

Krasner wants a paperweight from a blown ballroom. The same office already lost the history fight in federal court.

Summary

  • Fox News, citing WCAU video, reports Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said Tuesday he will keep a piece of President Trump's White House ballroom as a paperweight 'after we all blow it up,' imagining the scene in 10 to 15 years at an 'official ceremony.'
  • Krasner spoke at George Washington's historic home during the city's slavery commemoration. He called Trump a pain and agreed with a heckler who called him the devil, then said Trump embodies hate, ignorance, and the deprivation of votes and education.
  • He was attacking a March executive order, Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History, after the National Park Service replaced slavery-only panels at the federally owned site with broader U.S. history displays. A federal appeals court ruled Philadelphia has no right to dictate the content.
  • Krasner has previously used fascist smears on Trump and said he would hunt ICE officers. White House spokesman Davis Ingle called the ballroom attack Trump Derangement. The Secret Service said it investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward protectees.

Commentary

A Philly shift worker still pays the wage tax and walks past a DA office that cannot keep a carjacker and still has time to fantasize about dynamite. He does not get a paperweight. He gets a docket that already shrugged.

That is the gap. A lost appeals fight on a federal park. A speech about blowing a ballroom. The honest dad cannot joke about bombing a courthouse. The prosecutor got a laugh and a camera.

Ask every cop who still works that city: if the DA collects rubble in his head, who still trusts him with a live case?

If a DA jokes about blowing the People's House, is that rhetoric or a tell?

A paperweight from a blown ballroom is not wit. It is a prosecutor narrating a demolition.

I guarded a building. 'Official ceremony' does not wash the charge out of 'blow it up.'

The appeals court already told the city it does not own the federal panels. The speech is leftover spite.

Allied capitals do not let a local prosecutor campaign on wrecking the president's house.

Watch the ICE-hunting line next to the dynamite joke. Same office. Same contempt for the badge.

I cannot joke about bombing my plant. He did it on a historic lawn and kept the job.

A slavery commemoration is not a launchpad for a devil chant. My kids deserve a grown-up docket.

Secret Service has to treat perceived threats as file work. He handed them a clip.

Fox printed the paperweight line, the lost appeals case, and the devil exchange. Argue those nouns.

Voters own the next DA race. A city that laughs at dynamite jokes should not be shocked at the next empty cell.
