Report: Illegal Alien from India Identified as Trucker in Fatal Mississippi Crash

- Breitbart, citing Border Hawk and a DHS confirmation, reports Sube Singh, 26, of Fresno, California, an Indian citizen living in the United States illegally, was the driver of a 2021 Freightliner that killed Dedric Garrett, 36, of Terry, Mississippi, on I-20 in Hinds County.
- The crash happened about 1:46 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, near the 29-mile marker. Mississippi Highway Patrol said Garrett had stepped out of a 2016 Honda CR-V and was struck. He died at the scene. Singh was uninjured. Troopers have not announced charges.
- DHS said Border Patrol first encountered Singh in November 2017. ICE released him on bond in May 2018 into alternatives-to-detention and has tracked him with a GPS monitor since. The Daily Wire reported he was wearing the tracker while driving the rig.
- Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has finalized a rule to keep unqualified foreign drivers out of commercial licensing. Federal officials blamed non-domiciled drivers for at least 17 fatal crashes and 30 deaths in 2025. DHS is pushing Dalilah's Law to stop states from issuing commercial licenses to illegal aliens.

A Hinds County dad still walks a shoulder with a warning triangle and feels hot asphalt through a cheap sole. He did not vote for a 2018 bond slip to put an 18-wheeler over a man stepping out of a Honda.
That is the gap. November 2017 encounter. May 2018 release. A GPS that watched the cab and did not stop the cab. The honest taxpayer paid the monitor. Dedric Garrett paid with the scene.
Look every working father who still changes a tire on I-20 in the eye and answer this: if a federal tracker cannot keep an illegal alien out of a commercial cab, who still owns the next mile marker?

I convoyed on that grade. Seventeen fatal crashes in 2025 is a rule, not a mood.
