Soros-backed DA accused of going easy on illegal immigrants gets squeezed by House GOP

Thirty prior arrests. A 41-year-old U.S. citizen dead. Jordan just put a subpoena on the desk that kept releasing the file.

Summary

  • Fox News reports House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan said subpoenas are on the table if sanctuary-jurisdiction prosecutors keep refusing documents on how they handle illegal-alien defendants.
  • The committee is looking at offices accused of weighing immigration status when they charge, even when the crime has nothing to do with status.
  • Jordan named Fairfax County, Virginia, Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano. DHS says the man charged with stabbing 41-year-old U.S. citizen Stephanie Minter had entered illegally from Sierra Leone in 2012 and been arrested more than 30 times before the killing.
  • DOJ has already opened its own probe of the same office. Jordan said the committee asks, asks again, then subpoenas.

Commentary

A Fairfax night nurse still sits in a vinyl ER chair after a double and hears a name she already discharged last month. She did not clock in to treat the 31st arrest of a man the county would not hold.

That is the gap. Thirty priors. One dead citizen. A subpoena still in the drawer. The honest dad already paid the prosecutor. The file kept walking out the side door.

Look every working father who still believes a docket is not a shelter in the eye and answer this: if 30 arrests cannot produce a hold, who still owns the next kitchen?

Sierra Leone in 2012 and 30 bookings is not a paperwork miss. It is a policy.

I sat a blotter. A 31st arrest that ends in a stabbing is a failure with a name: Minter.

Jordan said the sequence: ask, ask again, subpoena. Do the third step.

Allied cities do not let status become a discount on a violent docket. Copy the spine.

DOJ is already in the file. House paper is how a local office stops hiding the deals.

My ER already met this guy. A prosecutor who discounts status is billing my overtime.

A 41-year-old citizen in a kitchen is the whole argument. Subpoena the charging memos.

A sanctuary docket is a second border. Close it with paper, then with removals.

Fox printed Jordan, Descano, Minter, 2012, and 30-plus arrests. Argue those nouns.

Issue the subpoena. Charge the 31st case like the first. A hold is not optional.
