Unhinged notebooks of armed man arrested at Trump golf course revealed — including Melania’s schedule

Two hundred eight pages. Melania's schedule. A loaded 9mm in the club lot. The notebooks were the tell.

Summary

  • The New York Post reports prosecutors told a Los Angeles judge that Jeanine John Taele, 38, a Marine veteran from Downey, filled notebooks with 208 pages of golf-course sketches, Secret Service schedules, agent details, and copies of Melania Trump's daily schedule.
  • Federal agents first spotted him at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles on July 31 while planning security for the president's Aug. 4 visit. He allegedly walked the course with an earpiece, filming agents, then returned Aug. 2, claimed State Department duty, and admitted a loaded gun in his truck.
  • Deputies found a 16-round magazine of hollow-points in his pocket and a loaded 9mm, binoculars, and a 'security protection agent' badge in the truck. A Downey home search recovered an illegally modified AR-style rifle, more guns, body armor, high-capacity magazines, radios, and seven notebooks.
  • Judge John Lonergan called the allegations alarming. Taele was found mentally unfit for trial. Bail was revoked pending a Sept. 9 date. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said that amount of firepower around the president is a serious threat.

Commentary

A groundskeeper still tastes cut grass and watches a man with an earpiece film a detail that is not his. He does not get a psych seminar if a notebook copies the first lady's day. He gets a radio call and a lot that suddenly feels like a hide.

That is the gap. Two hundred eight pages. July 31 and Aug. 2. A hollow-point magazine in a pocket. The honest dad cannot bring a pocket knife into a courthouse. This file walked a presidential fairway with a badge from a costume drawer.

Ask every agent who still walks that rope line: if a notebook already has Melania's day, who still calls the next visit a golf outing?

Comments

If 208 pages include the first lady's schedule, is that fandom or a target folder?

A costume badge plus a loaded 9mm in the lot is not a mix-up. It is a kit.

I walked a rope. Seven notebooks and an illegally cut rifle is a stack you do not shrug off.

Unfit for trial is a finding. Revoked bail is the right second sentence. Keep him.

Allied details do not treat a filmed rehearsal as tourism. Neither should Los Angeles.

Watch July 31 and Aug. 2. Two days of filming before the Aug. 4 visit is a pattern.

I cannot carry a knife on a shift. He carried hollow-points past a presidential rehearsal.

A first lady's daily sheet in a stranger's notebook is not a souvenir. It is a family's map.

Three tries on the president already taught the lesson. Treat the fairway like a perimeter.

u/press_clip · 30m

The Post printed 208 pages, Melania's schedule, July 31, and the 9mm. Argue those nouns.

Keep him held. Finish the psych and the gun paper. A golf club is not an open range.
