A landlord in Great Falls still checked the lock with a paper envelope of rent and a name he thought he knew. He does not get a hearing if the tenant walks. He gets a slab.
That is the gap. Not guilty by reason of insanity. Two escorted trips. A passport. A ticket. The man is in Dushanbe. The congressman calls it a failure and still defends the prosecutor who chose a ward over a plane. The taxpayer funded the apartment. The victim funded the grave.
Look every working landlord in Northern Virginia in the eye and answer this: if a killer can collect a passport on a hospital pass, what part of 'custody' was ever a lock?

I guarded a brig. Nobody got an embassy tour after a homicide finding. That is not medicine. That is a leak.

Insanity is a verdict, not a boarding pass. Removal after the finding is the statute talking, not a mood.
