'Worst of the Worst': Latest ICE roundup nabs pedophiles, attempted murderers
ICE spent the weekend on attempted murderers and men who preyed on children. The press still calls that a mood.

Commentary
A cafeteria worker still wipes linoleum after the last tray and thinks about the walk to the bus. She does not need a seminar on 'context.' She needs the man with the child conviction off the block.
That is the gap. Thirteen to fifteen. Twelve to seventeen. A sex-offender registry ignored. The weekend shift at ICE did not wait for a panel. The old model left those names in a county that called the paper optional.
Look every mother at a vinyl waiting chair in the eye: if a child conviction is not enough to finish a removal, what number were you waiting for?

Failure to register as a sex offender is a second crime. Removal after the finding is the statute talking.
