The villagers swim out in a typhoon. They pull 69 men out of the water. More than 500 are already gone.
The village has almost no food. They give the survivors their own emergency rice. Their last chickens. Their clothes.
Then they send them home.
95 years pass.
1985. Iran-Iraq war. Iraq announces it will shoot down any plane over Iran in 48 hours. 215 Japanese are trapped in Tehran. Japan sends nobody.
Turkey sends two planes.
Turkish citizens at that airport gave up their own seats and drove out of Iran by road. π―π΅πΉπ·
